Method-1: Ensure that mail server names are correct
Many a time, the GoDaddy email problems arise due to the incorrect names of the email server. However, these are prefilled, but somehow, if they got changed, you need to make them right again.
Following are the steps by following which you can check the mail server names:
- First, you have to go to your GoDaddy webmail login page and log in to your workspace email account.
- There, you have to select the Tools option and then go to the Email Setup Centre.
- There, you will see your mail server settings, which should be as follows:
- Account type: IMAP or POP
- Incoming Mail Server: imap.secureserver.net or pop.secureserver.net (for IMAP and POP respectively)
- Outgoing server: smtpout.secureserver.net (for both IMAP and POP)
Method-2: Change Port Settings
Your Godaddy Email will not work properly of your port settings are not correct. Go to the advance settings in Outlook, and make sure that all the port numbers are correct, these should be as follows:
Without SSL:
- IMAP Port No.: 143
- POP Port No.: 110
- SMTP Port No.: 25, 80, 3535
With SSL and TLS:
- IMAP Port No.: 993 (SSL)
- POP Port No.: 995 (SSL)
- SMTP Port No.: 465 (SSL)
- SMTP Port No.: 587 (TLS)
